Fall Campout at Ingawanis Adventure Base

Friday - Sunday, November 13-15, 2026

Who

All Pack 25 scouts and their families.

What

Cabin “camping” (2 overnights). These are rough cabins with basic bunkhouse-type beds that have a basic mattress. Make sure to bring a sleeping bag or other bedding for each person camping.

When

Friday - Sunday, November 13-15, 2026. We are usually done reasonably early Sunday morning.

Where

Ingawanis Adventure Base, the scout camp near Waverly. All 5 available cabins are reserved for our pack. We will meet initially at the shelter at Elliott Cabin for supper. A map of the park is available.

Driving directions from St. Ed’s. When you arrive, we plan to meet at Elliott Cabin for supper.

Departure

Group departure is 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 13 from the Scout Garage at St. Ed’s. The park is about a half hour away. Supper should be ready shortly after group arrival. You may also choose to meet us at Elliott Cabin at Camp Ingawanis.

RSVP

Please let us know who will be going, and on which days/overnights, by Friday, November 6. Email treimo@gmail.com, or call or text (please identify yourself) 319-610-6055.

Cost

$20 per person (to defray costs of food, campground rental, and equipment). Scout account funds may be used for this. The Pack has a fund for those who cannot afford this; please let Brock Weliver or Mike Treinen know.

Health Forms

If you have not submitted a health form for this school year, you MUST submit a completed health form to Brock Weliver (bweliver@msn.com) at least 2 days prior to this event. There is an easy-to-use, fillable PDF form that can be electronically signed on the BSA Health and Safety page. Click “Download Form” under “All Scouting Events,” and complete parts A, B1, and B2. Do not complete Part C (it is for longer BSA camps).

Weather

It is too early for a reliable forecast. Typically for this time of year, highs are around 50 and lows are around 30; however, weather has proven to vary considerably depending on the year. The cabins have woodstoves and Ingawanis provides firewood, so we have stayed warm. Meals and activities are typically held outdoors, so it is important to have weather-appropriate clothing.

What to Bring

Parent/Guardian Attendance

Parent/guardian attendance is required, subject to very limited exceptions. Contact us ASAP if you would like your scout to attend without a parent or guardian. BSA rules strictly limit the number of scouts who may attend without a guardian.
