Join us for Pack Fall Camping!

Short Version:

  • Location: Ingawanis Adventure Base
  • Cost: $20/camper (Scout account funds can be used; campership fund available for those with financial hardship)
  • Note: Completed health form required for scouts
  • Activities: Hiking, gaga ball, whittling chip (Bears & above), outdoor games
  • Volunteers needed: Saturday Lunch, Saturday Supper, and simple Sunday Breakfast
  • Firewood: Provided by Camp Ingawanis!

DETAILS:

WHO: All Pack 25 scouts and their families (siblings, parents, grandparents welcome).

WHAT: Cabin camping.

WHEN: Friday - Sunday, Nov 7–9, 2025 (we are usually done early on Sunday).

WHERE: Ingawanis Adventure Base, 2482 Grand Avenue, Waverly, IA 50677

Driving directions from St. Ed's

RSVP: Please reply by Monday, Nov 3 with the number of children and adults attending. Do not change the subject line when replying.

DEPARTURE: Group departs from St. Ed’s scout garage at 5:15 PM Friday, Nov 7. You may also meet us at the camp (~30-minute drive from St. Ed’s).

COST: $20 per person (covers food, campground rental, and equipment). If this is a hardship, the pack can help. Scout account funds may also be used.

HEALTH FORMS: If you haven’t submitted one this school year, please email your completed form to matthew.kauten@yahoo.com by Nov 7.

WEATHER: Typical highs mid–upper 50s, lows mid 30s.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Water bottles (one per person)
  • Sleeping bags (weather appropriate)
  • Clothing (layers, cap, Pack T-shirt, hiking boots/sneakers)
  • Medications and toiletries
  • Flashlights
  • Lawn chairs (one per person)
  • Rain ponchos (especially if rain is forecast)
  • Snacks to share (optional)
  • Any items your den leader requests
  • Sunscreen and bug spray
  • A helpful attitude!

If you need to borrow a tent, lawn chair, or sleeping bag, contact us — we have limited extras available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Optional: Outdoor games, balls, cots (bunks are provided in cabins).

Firewood for the cabins is provided. Firewood for the campfire may be gathered from the woods or brought in.

PARENT/GUARDIAN ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED (with limited exceptions). Contact Brock if your scout needs to attend without a guardian.

Directions & Resources:

We are looking for one parent or Den Leader to lead the Friday night caravan from St. Ed’s. If no one volunteers, we’ll assume families will drive separately.
