Treasurer
Pack financial report: The packs bank
accounts total $2338.63, comprised of $1302.72 in the general fund and $1035.91
in scout accounts. These amounts do not
reflect income or expenses for the Pikes Peak campout. Since the April 17 parents meeting, the pack
had income of $221 from the pop can drive, and expenses of $404 for the gaga
ball pit and $34 to reserve a campsite.
· May 12-14 Spring campout at Pikes Peak State Park, report. It was an awesome campout! Great weather, lots of food, gaga ball, ninja line, and hikes kept everyone going. Litter control was an area noted for improvement, and possible solutions using personal water bottles filled out of a cooler was discussed.
· May 23 (Tues) - Emergency Services Spring Recruitment, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Waterloo, 5:30-7:30, update. We are registered for recruiting, and fliers have been provided to St. Eds School to include in express envelopes this week. We are encouraging all of our cub scouts to attend there should be many activities and exhibits for them to visit. A pack activity plan based on 2016-2017 will be prepared for our booth.
· June activity nothing defined yet, a number of possibilities were discussed (bike ride, gaga ball, hike, geocache)
· July 22 - Scout night at the Waterloo Bucks. Overnight campout on the outfield. $12 gets a ticket, meal voucher for hot dog, bag of chips, and drink, campout and watch the Minions movie on the field after the game, fireworks, and breakfast in the morning. Game-only reserved seat is $6. Deadline to order tickets is July 15th.
· August activity same as June, perhaps look at campout before school starts.
· Summer 2017 Day camp, what do we want to target for pack group activities? The aquatics day camp has been canceled due to low registration, and shooting sports and horse riding is expecting the same fate. The other non-specific day and resident camps are expected to go on as scheduled. The group did not have a lot of energy to pursue anything other than perhaps a twilight camp. Further discussion perhaps at our next meeting.

pack award BSA offers this award to encourage packs to be active during the
summer months. 3 levels of awards are
offered:
· Packs must offer at least one pack activity during each of the months of June, July and August to earn a flag streamer and certificate.
· Dens can earn a participation ribbon with 50% attendance at each of the three activities
· Scouts can earn a pin for their uniform pocket flap by participating in all 3 activities.
As our pack is likely to offer an activity each month, we will keep track of attendance to submit our award application in August.
·
Scout
trailer the pack needs to inventory the trailer to see what is available and
