·         Pop can tabs for Ronald McDonald House, report.  Tabs not collected at the last can drive.  Leaders will look at changing the work flow so that tabs can be removed before sorting.

·         Chaplain – Religious awards, update.  Wolves need 3 forms back from scout families, with another 3 complete.  Bears have forms ready to sign.  Forms will be sent in together to minimize unnecessary handling.

·         Training

·         Position Specific Training – The pack received notice that all, or nearly all, leaders and registered adults need to complete some online training for the position in the pack.  The pertinent information will be forwarded to those needing training.

·         New Youth Protection Training – The new version of this training must be completed by August 1 to support the Family Scouting rollout, regardless of the pack’s as yet undecided future Family Scouting status.  We will look at completing this training as a group.

·         Hazardous Weather Training – Leaders need to complete this training prior to leading outdoor activities.

·         Equipment – The pack is asking scout families for donations of extra or old utensils (knives, forks, spoons), serving spoons, ladles, hand towels, dish towels and wash rags.  The request will be sent out within the next week.

·         Fundraising – Last pop can drive, Apr 7, report.  Good turnout with an above average donation.  Next can drive is scheduled for May 5.

·         Round Table Update – update from March 8 round table.  The following topics were discussed at round table:

·         Family Scouting

·         District pinewood derby race on April 28

·         Training

·         Council approval of unit fundraising

The next round table will be at Camp Ingawanis May 10, 6:00 PM (potluck dinner).  The main (and perhaps only) agenda item will be Family Scouting, and it’s August 1 rollout.  Leaders and committee members are encouraged to attend.

5) Old Business

·         Webelos to Scouts transition, followup from November parents meeting.  Matt will coordinate with the other Webelos 2 parents to determine their interest in continuing in Boy Scouts.  Matt will get with John to work with the council to determine the feasibility in continuing Troop 1 with limited membership for this year.

·         Family Scouting (Girls in Cub Scouting) – what are the pack’s future plans?  John will set up a meeting with parish leadership after the May campout to discuss the direction of the pack in regards to allowing girls to join.
