·         Class B shirts – the group will review the need for these at the next meeting, and will be prepared to select a design if we go forward.

6) New Business

·         Pinewood Derby

·         Rules – review suggested changes from 2018.  Suggested rules changes were reviewed.  The group rejected the proposal to withhold axles and wheels until the cars are otherwise ready for inspection and quarantine.  The proposal to assign and apply car numbers at the day of the event and to not have this done by the builders was approved.  Adults rules to not allow open combustion or flames for the adult open class was approved.  Both sets of rules are included with these meeting minutes, and will be provided with the car kits at the Jan 20 den meeting.

·         Trophies – recycling of old trophies.  Ken Boss and Chris will ask the community for old trophies that people may be willing to part with so they can be refurbished for awards at the pinewood derby.  We are currently looking at trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall, 1st for each den, 1 for best in show (voted by scouts), 1 for cubmaster choice, and 1 for quickest elapsed time.

·         Logistics – We will review last year’s plans and update them at the next meeting for this year’s event.

7) Announcements

·         Next parents meeting Monday, February 18, 2019 at The O.P. (on Ridgeway Ave across from West High), meeting starts at 7:30 PM.
