·         The campout at Tsonak at Marble Rock was excellent, easily one of the best pack campouts we have had.

Since the last parents meeting, we had income of $405 in 1 pop can checks, and expenditures of $505 for cub scout handbooks. October campout expenses will be reported at the next meeting.  We have a number of negative scout accounts due to annual dues and campout fees.  Reminders will be emailed this week.

·         Outdoor/activities

·         Oct 2-4 - Cub Scout campout, Tosanak Recreation Area, Marble Rock, report.  Great campout, albeit a bit on the cool or chilly side, which did not dampen the group’s enthusiasm and the fun they had.

·         Oct 25 – Pack Halloween Party.  Plans have been made for games and goodies.  Mike will send an email to the pack regarding the plans.

·         Dec 20 – Pack Christmas party

·         Advancement – Underway as regular meetings resume.  Some dens worked on various advancement requirements at the campout.

·         Service Projects

·         Group brainstormed projects for this fall,  Followup to be reported at next meeting

·         Chaplain – Religious awards, update.  No report

·         Training – Group Youth Protection Training for the pack as discussed previously in the Cubmaster report.

·         Equipment – With the large groups at our campouts, we occasionally have some shortcomings in available equipment, whether cooking equipment (pots, pans, utensils, etc.), lighting, etc.  An equipment subcommittee has been formed to determine what we have on hand, what is needed, and how to organize materials to make sure the trailer is packed with equipment essential to a given campout.  It is believed that a thorough inventory of the garage and trailer contents will meet most of our needs, although we will likely need to purchase more equipment to fill the needs.  We look forward to a report at the next parents meeting.

·         Fundraising – Pop cans, update

5) Old Business

·         Meeting space availability – To continue using the school gym and cafeteria for meeting space during the Covid pandemic, we will need to make some changes at our meetings:

o   Everyone will be required to wear masks when inside the buildings.

o   Everyone must take the Mayo self-checker prior to participating.

o   Maintain a 6 foot social distance between participants whenever possible.

o   Temperatures will be checked and recorded for all participants.

o   Any adult or youth participant exhibiting high or low rick symptoms will not be allowed to attend.

o   Only leaders, scouts, and Lion (kindergarten) and Tiger (1st grade) parents will be allowed to attend.  Others may not enter the building (parents of older scouts and siblings).

o   Only designated restrooms may be used, and the group shall stay in agreed-upon areas.

o   Adults will need to sanitize and appropriately clean all used spaces before leaving.

There are other requirements the pack needs to comply with, but those above impact all attendees.  Mike will send a pack email later this week with details regarding these items as well as changes to drop-off and pick-up.

The great news is that we have a place to meet when the weather becomes uncooperative.

·         Class B shirts – Right before the pandemic broke out, the pack was ready to place an order for class B pack t-shirts for all pack scouts and leaders.  Covid pushed that out, and we are now ready to make an order after sizes are verified for current scouts and received for scouts joining this fall.

6) New Business

·         No new business

7) Announcements

·         Next parents meeting Monday, November 16, 2020 at 1850 Patio & Grill, meeting starts at 7:00 PM.

8) Adjournment - Upon having completed the evening’s business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 pm.

Respectfully Submitted,

Chris Klaren
