·         Quarterly budget review:  Budget performance for September through November was reviewed.  Accounting for the timing of rechartering charges, our general fund is about $4000 better than budget, as the can drives continue to drive our budget results.

·         Outdoor/activities

·         October 23 - Spooktacular!  Ingawanis Adventure Base, report.  The four scout families that attended enjoyed the new activities offered at camp.

·         November 5-7 - Pack Campout, cabins at Ingawanis Adventure Base, report.  Over 50 scouts and families members attended the weekend campout and enjoyed the very mild November weather.

·         November 20 - Scout Night at the UNI Dome, Northern Iowa vs. Western Illinois, 1:00 PM, $10 per ticket. Registration ended Nov 5. Update.  34 scouts and family members registered for this event sponsored by UNI Athletics.

·         Pack Christmas party, Dec 19.  Details to be determined and shared at a later time.

·         Pack visit to National Guard Armory, update.  Ron learned that they will offer group tours limited to 20 (not sure if just scouts or scouts & adults) on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Ron will et back with the National Guard to see if our requested dates of March 23 and 24 work for them.

·         Whittling chip – discussion.  Matt created a whittling chip program that can be used in the future by others when needed.  In addition, Matt purchased 14 identical Swiss Army knives that he cleaned up and refurbished, and later were given to all of our cub scouts that earned their Whittling Chip this year as well as in past years.  In addition there are 15 more Swiss Army knives that are included in the training kit.  The group agreed to reimburse $15 for each refurbished knife and $8 for reach training knife.  Thank you Matt for creating the program and creating memorable keepsakes for our scouts.

·         Advancement – advancement reports.  Dens are making progress.

·         Service Projects

·

·         Chaplain – Religious awards, update.  Leaders let Chris Klaren know how many booklets are needed.

·         Training – nothing currently on the council calendar

·         Equipment – The pack trailer needs some minor repairs to the roof vent that was vandalized recently.  Ron will follow up by removing the vent and covering the opening with some sheet metal.
