2) Attending:   Matt Hennnig; Chris Klaren; Mike Treinen; Ron Wing; Jeff Mastin (Troop 29 Scoutmaster)

3a) Review previous meeting minutes November minutes approved

3b) Approve agenda – agenda for this meeting reviewed and approved

4) Reports:

·         Pack business:  As has been reported in the media, the BSA is currently undergoing bankruptcy reorganization.  This has resulted in liability insurance changes that some chartering organizations find unacceptable.  This includes parishes in the Diocese of Dubuque, as well as other religious organizations throughout the country.  As a result, St. Edward will not be renewing our charter at the end of this year, and we are unable to meet or hold activities as a scouting organization on church or school property until a facilities use agreement is reached.  Pack leadership is working to identify a new chartering organization, and will continue to meet on a temporary basis at the Elks Lodge until an agreement is reached with the church and school.  We believe that the pack can continue to provide the program and activities that have defined our pack in the past, and look forward to improving them in the future.

·         Cubmaster – comments included in other agenda items

·         Review pack schedule for next 3 month:  The Pinewood Derby was moved from March 6 to March 20, and March 6 will be a regular pack meeting.  Scout Sunday on Feb 6 was removed from the schedule.
