Pack 3025 Parents Meeting

1) Meeting called to order by Chris Klaren at 7:22 PM

3a) Review previous meeting minutes January minutes approved

3b) Approve agenda – agenda for this meeting reviewed and approved

4) Reports:

·         Cubmaster – Mike is looking for adult help at the two scheduled pinewood derby car cut-out sessions.  He is also gathering notes to direct the pinewood derby.

·         Secretary

·         Review pack schedule for next 3 months.  The Feb 18 pinewood derby cut out day was canceled, and an erroneous March 19 track setup was removed.

·         Quarterly budget review.  The budget was reviewed, with the pack’s account balances well ahead of projections at this time.

Since the last parents meeting, we had income of $1,813 in pop can receipts.  Expenses were $21 in meeting supplies and $211 for scout account reimbursements.

·         Outdoor/activities

·         February 19 – Klondike Derby, Camp Ingawanis (Webelos), update.  No report.

·         February 26 – Polar Bear, Camp Ingawanis, update, no report

·         April 3 – Pinewood Derby, update.  Working on it.

·         Pack visit to National Guard Armory, does March 23 and 24 work for them?  Update – Looking at March, April, and June dates.

·         Planning for spring campout – Mike & Ron are looking at potential locations

·         Advancement – advancement reports.  Dens appear to be making progress with advancement.

·         Service Projects - Canned food drive concurrent with a spring pop can drive.  This will be postponed until the can drives get back underway.

·         Chaplain – Religious awards, update.  Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei activity booklets will be purchased.

·         Training – we want to have leaders attend BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) training when it becomes available.

·         Equipment – the trailer needs to be inventoried and organized

·         Fundraising – Pop cans, update

·         Round Table Update – from February roundtable.  No report.

5) Old Business

·         Resuming dialog with St. Eds for meeting space and scout garage usage.  Working on it.

·         Pinewood Derby – follow-up on other pack invited to join us.  Pack 3051 will be joining us at our pinewood derby.  They will follow our rules, race with our scouts, and provide their own separate awards.

·         none

7) Announcements      

·         Next parents meeting Monday, March 14, 2022 at 1850 Patio & Grill, meeting starts at 7:30 PM.
