Pack 3025 Parents Meeting

1) Meeting called to order by Matt Hennig at 7:30 PM

3a) Review previous meeting minutes – February minutes approved

3b) Approve agenda – agenda for this meeting reviewed and approved

4) Reports:

·         Meeting & can drive update – We are back at St. Eds at our next regular pack meeting on April 24.  Can drives will resume effective April 2.  We will have one more meeting at the Elks Lodge on March 20 as the school is unavailable due to spring break.

·         Cubmaster – A campout is tentatively planned for May 13-15, possibly at Black hawk State Park near Carroll, Iowa.

·         Secretary

·         Review pack schedule for next 3 months.  No changes were made to the schedule other than to add the possible campout in May.

Since the last parents meeting, we had income of $414 in pop can receipts.  Expenses were $100 for religious medal handbooks and $101 for pinewood derby trophy parts.

·         Outdoor/activities

·         February 19 – Klondike Derby, Camp Ingawanis (Webelos), report.  No report, we don’t believe any Webelos participated.

·         February 26 – Polar Bear, Camp Ingawanis, report.  No report, we are not aware of any of our scouts that attended.

·         April 3 – Pinewood Derby, update.  Planning is well underway and assignments for leaders are being defined.

·         Pack visit to National Guard Armory, what dates in March, April, and June work for them?  Update.  No report.

·         Planning for spring campout, update.  Info in cubmaster report.

·         Advancement – advancement reports

·         Service Projects – no report

·         Chaplain – Religious awards, update

·         Training – no cub scout leader training on council calendar through December 2022

·         Equipment – no immediate needs have been identified

·         Fundraising – Pop cans, update.

·         Membership –

·         Roster is unchanged from January: 32 youth active, 2 inactive; 12 adults active, 0 inactive (all no change)

·         Round Table Update – from March roundtable

·         District awards are May 10, nominations were March 12.

·         Summer residence camps are planned at Camp Ingawanis July 7-10 for Cub Scouts and July 14-17 for Webelos.  Cub Scout day camp is scheduled July 9 concurrent with the residence camp.  Discounted early registration ends May 13, regular registration ends June 24.

6) New Business

·         Friends Of Scouting will be presenting at our April 24 pack meeting.

·         Summer camp – pack leadership believes the camps described in the round table update represent good value and a great experience for the scouts.  A group of our scouts attended day camp last year and had a blast with the variety of activities that were offered.  We are encouraging scouts to attend the camp of their choice for an scouting experience they will remember.

7) Announcements      

·         Next parents meeting Monday, April 18, 2022 at 1850 Patio & Grill, meeting starts at 7:00 PM.
