· Thank you to everyone for the council recognition, it is very much appreciated.
·
It’s very important that we get on the ball with
recruiting this fall. The group had some
discussion on recruiting and leadership.
·
Secretary
· Review pack schedule for next 3 months. The June 13 parents meeting was moved to June 27 and the July parents meeting was removed from the schedule; the June 19 pack meeting was moved to June 26 and designated for Crossover; the July 9 pop can drive was removed from the schedule to provide a reprieve for the pack.

Since the last parents meeting, we had no
income. Expenses were $54 for awards,
and $236 for scout account reimbursements.
· Quarterly budget review. Our combined general fund and campership fund balance is 54% higher than originally budgeted. This is despite canceling 4 can drives from December through March while the St. Eds facilities were unavailable to us.
·
Outdoor/activities
· May 13-15 – Pack campout at Volga River State Recreation Area, report. Great weather, hiking, and fishing, with lots of involvement from everyone. The campground was one of the nicer that we have been to.
· Pack visit to police department, fire department, KWWL, John Deere Museum, etc., discussion. After some discussion, the group agreed to pursue a visit to the John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum on Westfield Ave. Chris Klaren will work with the museum to make arrangements for a visit in late May or very early June.
· Ideas for summer campout, discussion. Looking at Dolliver State Park near Fort Dodge in late July.
·
Advancement – advancement reports. Den leaders are on track to complete
advancement requirements before crossover.
·
Service Projects – canned food drive
concurrent with a spring or summer pop can drive? We have elected to not pursue this as we believe
that we don’t have sufficient volunteer manpower for both a can drive and
canned food drive on the same day.
·
Chaplain – Religious awards, update. No report.
·
Training – BALOO - Cub Scout Outdoor Leader Training May 21-22 at Camp Waubeek (near Central City). We are not aware of anyone that has
registered for this.
·
Equipment – no identified equipment needs at this time.
·
Fundraising
– Pop cans, update
