Since the last parents meeting, we had income of $1228 in pop can receipts.  Expenses were $32 for awards, $397 in campout expenses, $740 transfer of scout accounts to Troop 29 for scouts that crossed over,$49 for nitrol gloves for pop can sorting, and $254 for scout account reimbursements.  $712 was forfeited from scout accounts to the campership fund for the Webelos 2’s that did not cross over.

·         Quarterly budget review – the pack general and campership funds total $19,294 vs. a budgeted $11,605.  The pop can fundraiser is entirely responsible for this result.  This gives us the opportunity to not hold as many pop can drives when times are busy.

·         Budget proposal for 2022-2023 – reviewing past and expected expenditures, a budget proposal for the next school year was approved.  Income from pop can fundraising was very conservative, yet yielded a positive cash flow at the end of the next budget year.  Contact Chris Klaren if you would like to view a copy.

·         Outdoor/activities

·         July 9 - Cub Scout Day Camp at Ingawanis Adventure Base, report.  2 scouts attended and another was helping on staff.  Great weather, the council had a great event.

·         July 29-31 - Pack campout, Dolliver State Park, near Fort Dodge, report.  12 youth and 6 adults attended all or part of the weekend.  Great weather, nice campsite, and a place to fish all made for a successful campout.

·         August 27 - Young Eagles flights, 8:00 am to noon, Waterloo Airport, ages 8-17, free! Rides given first come, first served.  This is for ages 8-17, and has been popular with our older scouts the last few years. More info and registration at https://youngeaglesday.org/?yereg&event=7rLg4XgWI

·         November cabin campout – we set the weekend of Nov 11-13 for this pack campout.  Chris Klaren will reserve the cabins.

·         Advancement – advancement reports.  The Bears have completed their rank requirements.  Webelos 1’s should finish by the next meeting.

·         Service Projects – We will incorporate a service project in the Nov campout.

·         Chaplain – Religious awards, update

·         Training – Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation training (BALOO) is scheduled for October 15-16 at Camp Tanglefoot near Clear Lake.  We would like to get several more leaders trained before the November campout.  Registration closes Sep 29, the pack will pay the registration fee.  Register at https://mycouncil.winnebagobsa.org/Event/5212/Register

·         Equipment – The roof vent that was vandalized several months ago on the trailer needs to be removed and the roof sealed off with sheet metal.  Otherwise the pack seems to be well equipped at this time.

·         Fundraising – Pop cans, update
