Cubmaster – thought recruiting went very
well, seemed to have a good turnout

· Review pack schedule for next 3 months. No changes were made to the published schedule.

Since the last parents meeting, we had income
of $788 in pop can receipts. Expenses
were $75 in reimbursements, and $180 to reserve cabins for the November campout
Dues for the 2023 calendar year have been
deducted from current active scout accounts and were assigned to the recharter
escrow account.
· Financial results for 12 months ending Aug 31. We finished the cub scout year ending Aug 31 in very good condition.

Outdoor/activities
· August 27 - Young Eagles flights, 8:00 am to noon, Waterloo Airport, ages 8-17, free! Report: (5) scouts attended and experienced flight in a small plane. A big thank you to the volunteers of the Experimental Aircraft Association!
· October 1 - UNI Football Scout Night, 4:00pm. $15 per person, register at https://mycouncil.winnebagobsa.org/Event/5215/Register. Be sure to register as individuals. Sign up before the Sep 19th deadline. Costs can be reimbursed from your scout accounts!
· October 2 - Sunday at the Quarry, 10am-4pm. BMC's Raymond Quarry, 6900 Dubuque Rd. Free to all.
· October 22 - Spooktacular, register online at https://mycouncil.winnebagobsa.org/Event/5099. Be sure to register as individuals. $15 per person until Oct 14, $22.50 per person after Oct 14, registration ends Oct 21. Costs can be reimbursed from your scout accounts!
· October 30 - Pack Halloween party!
· Cabin campout, Ingawanis Adventure Base, Nov 11-13 – update. All 5 cabins at camp have been reserved for the weekend. More details to be developed.
·
Advancement – All of the active Webelos
1’s completed their requirements and will start on their Arrow of Light
requirements for this year. All dens, except
Lions, should work to get their new scouts through Bobcat rank at these early
meetings.

Chaplain – Religious awards, update
·
Training –
· October 15-16 - BALOO training, Camp Tanglefoot, Clear Lake. Leaders, registration closes Sep 29, the pack will pay the registration fee. Register at https://mycouncil.winnebagobsa.org/Event/5212/Register. It is expected that BALOO will be offered at Ingawanis this coming spring.
· Many of our leaders 2-year Youth Protection Training certificates are expiring this fall (Oct/Nov). Please renew your training online so that we can recharter our pack in December. We will not be allowed to recharter unless all leaders are current with their Youth Protection Training.
·
Equipment – The ceiling vent on the trailer needs to be permanently fastened down.

information and wrist bands handed out.
o 14 families signed the attendance roster

2’s
o 3 others submitted apps and will pay at next
meeting: (1) Lion, (1) Tiger, and (1) Bear
o 6 others signed the attendance sheet, and

o Continue with “passive” recruiting at the
next meeting, Sep 18.

Round Table Update – report from
September. No report.
5) Old Business
·
Canteens,
update - Chris Steies is working to get
a sample for us to look at.
·
Class B
t-shirts – Matt will check to see if we have enough of the current t-shirts for
our new scouts. We will still be
pursuing new shirts for scouts and leaders this year.
6) New Business
·
Sign for
scout garage – People dropping off cans and bottles during week days and
weekend days are creating problems with the messes they leave. We will have signs made to mount on the scout
garage asking people to drop off cans and bottles only during our fundraisers. We should have some verbiage approved at the
next parents meeting.
·
Handbooks
– cub scout handbooks will be purchased to hand out at the Sep 18 pack meeting.
7) Announcements
· Next parents meeting Monday, October 17, 2022 at 1850 Patio & Grill, meeting starts at 7:00 PM.
8) Adjournment – Upon having completed the evening’s business,
