Secretary
· Review pack schedule for next 3 months. Pinewood Derby scheduled for March 5, if facilities not available we will schedule for March 26.
· Health forms, youth & adults: 36 on-hand complete, 7 forms and/or insurance cards needed. Reminders prior to upcoming meetings will continue to be emailed.

Since Nov 10, we had income of $701 in 2 pop
can checks, $40 in popcorn sales, and $55 in campout fees. Expenses were $598 for popcorn invoice, $556
in campout expense reimbursement, $538 for scout account reimbursements, $29
for Halloween party supplies, $20 for program materials, and $112 for awards.
· Quarterly budget review – Income and expenses reviewed and are reasonably close to our current budget.

Outdoor/activities
· December 18, Pack Christmas party, update. There are some games planned. Each family is being asked to bring a treat to share. The pack will provide dringks.
· February 5 – Scout Sunday update. Mike will talk to Fr. Bullock to coordinate.
· February 5 – Pack bowling update. Ron will get information from Maple Lanes and see if this can start at 1:00 or 1:30 that afternoon.
· Pinewood Derby –As mentioned in the schedule review, the Pinewood Derby is scheduled for March 5. If facilities are not available we will schedule it for March 26. Car kits will be distributed at the 1st meeting in January.

Chaplain – Religious awards, update. Handbooks for religious medals are in
process.

Equipment – A dust pan for the scout garage and materials to repair the trailer
vent cap will be purchased.

Next
can drive January 7, 2023 |

Review
times to receive payments for pop cans. Times
between pop can pickup and receipt of checks for those pickups have increased
from 30-35 days before covid to 75-85 days currently. Mike and Ron will discuss this with Metro to
bring this back to something more reasonable.

update – no report

Class B
t-shirts – a new t-shirt design is being worked on, and may be ready to review
in January.

Sign for
scout garage, update. The signs asking
people to not drop off cans except at can drives have been ordered by St. Eds.
6) New Business
·
Recharter,
update – For Jan-Aug 2023 only, BSA is changing rechartering from calendar year
to Sep-Aug to reflect the program year. The
partial year is prorated and scout accounts have been adjusted
accordingly. The recharter will be
submitted with a few days after this parents meeting.
·
Youth
protection training needed for recharter, update. All pack adults that will be rechartered are
up to date.
·
Pinewood
derby rules - The rules have only one
change from last year, Rule 2.f. has been revised to define the position of relocated
axles keeping them within ¼” of their original location: “No altering of wheel base length. Axles may be moved from original location no more than ¼” from where the slots would normally be
located, however the distance between the axles must be unchanged.”
This year we will run the sibling cars with the scout cars, and score the
sibling cars separately. A trophy will
be awarded to the winner of the sibling class.
7) Announcements
· Next parents meeting Monday, January 16, 2023 at 1850 Patio & Grill, meeting starts at 7:00 PM.
8) Adjournment – Upon having completed the evening’s business,
the meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:20 PM.
