Pack 3025 Parents Meeting

1) Meeting called to order by Mike Treinen at 6:58 PM

3a) Review previous meeting minutes – no concerns

3b) Approve/revise this meeting’s agenda – approved

4) Reports:

·         Cubmaster – comments made during agenda items

·         Secretary

·         Review pack schedule for next 3 months – the July campout was added to the schedule

·         Health forms, youth & adults:  41 on-hand complete, 5 forms and/or insurance cards needed.  No additional reminders will be sent until we recharter in late August.

·         Treasurer

·         Pack financial report:  As of May 10, the pack’s accounts totaled $32,323.27, with sub accounts as follows:

Since April 16, we had income of $904 in 2 pop can checks.  Expenses were $268 for reimbursements from scout accounts, $174 for pinewood derby track parts, $47 in meeting materials, and $126 for advancement & awards.  Our can redemption center owes the pack $1110 for 3 truckloads of returnables from April 21 through May 4.

·         Outdoor/activities

·         May 12-14 – Pack campout, report.  The campout was canceled due to severe weather being forecasted for Friday evening and all day Saturday in the Kellog area.

·         July campout, planning – July 21-23 was the weekend selected for the campout.  More information to be shared as it is determined.

·         Advancement

·         June 4, Crossover for Webelos 2 scouts – no report

·         Service Projects

·         Chaplain – Religious awards, update – Mike has 2 religious medals on-hand, and is waiting for several applications to be completed.

·         Training – leaders please check the training web site for any training that may be needed.

·         Equipment – Mike will look for traffic cones to use during pop can drives.  Ron has fastened down the roof vent on the trailer.

·         Fundraising – Pop cans, update

Average time for the last 2 pop can checks from pickup to check received is 34.5 days, with a high of 35 days and a low of 34.

·         Membership

·         Roster:  34 youth (-1 from last month), 12 adults (+1 from last month)

·         Recruiting, planning – no plans were made at this time, other than to set the joining fee for new scouts at $125.

·         Round Table Update – report from March and April.  No one attended either round table.  Materials will be picked up at the scout office.

5) Old Business

·         Canteens, update – no report

·         Class B t-shirts, update:  Matt ordered the new shirts, and we expect to have them in several weeks.

·         Scout garage signs to not drop off cans & bottles:  Chris K will order the signs that were approved by St. Eds.  Delivery is expected in a week or so.

·         Council recharter fees – The pack will cover $25 of the new $50 council recharter fee that will be instiuted during the August recharter.

6) New Business

·         Recharter – accounts will be debited in July for the new cub scout year that starts September 1.  Fees will increase by $25 from last year, as the pack will cover $25 of the new $50 council recharter fee.

7) Announcements

·         Next parents meeting Monday, June 12, 2023 at 1850 Patio & Grill, meeting starts at 7:00 PM.

8) Adjournment – Upon having completed the evening’s business, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:45 PM.
