Next can
drive March 3, 2024 |
Time for the last pop can check from pickup to check was 29 days.
Our can recycler, Metro Area Redemption, recently increased the amount the pack receives for some categories of returnables. Bags of cans will be increased to $12 from $10, and glass bottles increased to 5 cents from 4 cents. Small and large plastic bottles are unchanged at $6 and $2 per bag respectively. This increase was effective for all loads picked up by them after January 1.
The group asked that the guidelines for how scout shares are determined from the can drives be published on the web site and also posted in the scout garage. This will be completed in the next few weeks.
· Round Table Update – No pack leaders attended February round table.
5) Old Business
·
BSA
insurance certificate renewal, update.
We are working with the council office to obtain a new insurance
certificate effective April 1 and St. Edward staff to make sure all approvals
are in place to continue meeting on church and school property after the end of
March.
6) New Business
·
The 2023
Journey to Excellence report will be submitted to the council office and bronze
patches ordered for all registered pack members.
7) Announcements
· Next parents meeting Monday, March 18, 2024 at 1850 Patio & Grill, meeting starts at 7:00 PM.
