1) Meeting called to order by Committee Chair Matt Kauten at 7:05 PM

2) Attending: Matt Kauten; Mason Moore; Lester Venz; Brock Weliver; Jeff Mastin; Tim Fautcher, Nathan Leonard

3a) Review previous meeting minutes – no concerns

3b) Approve/revise this meeting’s agenda – approved

4) Reports:

·      Cubmaster

·      Discussion relating to summer pack meetings, pack meetings will be optional over the summer, den leaders will plan outdoor activities and set location for meeting during summer pack meetings

·      Waterloo Fire Rescue is holding it's annual EMS Open House on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity for kids of all ages to interact with Fire & EMS personnel and to get their hands on fire trucks and ambulances.

·      Charter Org Representative

·      Discussion on rechartering and other council matters

·      The troop will not be able to attend the next can fundraiser in June due to Resident Camp so it will just be Pack 3025 scouts at the June fundraiser

·      Outdoor/activities

·      Upcoming Summer Counsil Events

              Cub Day Camp - Ingawanis Adventure Base June 7th, Cub Scout and Webelos Resident Camp

              Ingawanis Adventure Base June 20 - 22nd, see pack website for more info and registration

·      My Waterloo Days Parade - Pack 3025 will be walking the parade and will be towing the pack trailer as a float.

·      Pack Campout this weekend (May 16 - 18th), final planning and discussion, see Mike T's email for final details and information for what to bring

·       Review Calendar

·      Pack Calendar updated through end of August

·      Discussed a number of locations for a possible summer pack group event, including Waterloo Bucks game, Lost Island, GetAir, NinjaU

·      Service Projects

·      Jeff mentioned the troop will be doing a service project at Elmwood Cemetery Wednesday, May 21st @ 6:00, Den or scouts from the pack can join.

·      Jeff mentioned that we can volunteer for service projects at IAB

·       Training - Unfortunately the next baloo training will no occur until November, multiple scout leaders interested. Will look into any options available by nearby councils.

·      Equipment - Mason proposed purchasing a new plastic Gaga Pit. This new one will be more portable and easier to setup. Proposal passed, Mason will look into purchasing the new pit and getting the correct size needed to replace the current one. The current Gaga Pit will be donated to IAB

·      Fundraising / Secretary - Next Can Drive has been moved from June 7 to June 14th to allow scouts to attend Cub Day Camp at  Ingawanis Adventure Base

·      Treasury

·      Recent deposits of $951.20 from fundraiser in three checks, $132.20, $ 171.00 and $648.00

·      Pack financial report:  As of May 12th, the pack’s accounts totaled $28,746.80, with sub accounts as follows:

·      Membership

·         Roster:  23 youth/22 active, 11 adults/11 active

·        We've recently received a few applications/ leads on the scout national site for families interested in joining, Matt K will follow up

·      Round Table Update - Rechartering is coming up in August, packs are available at scout office

5) Old Business

·         Class B t-shirts will be distributed to the scouts during the campout or June 1st meeting if they cannot attend

6) New Business

·         Mason proposed making a donation to the local Winnebago Council this year. Brock mentioned looking into what an average pack would contribute via popcorn sales and making a similar contribution. Jeff said it may be good to designate what the funds will be used for, such as IAB camp improvements, etc. Pack leaders were in agreement for the proposal and we'll discuss more next meeting.
