June 18 - Pack 25s June activity is a Fathers Day Family Fun Night at St. Edwards School 6:00-8:00 PM. The evening will begin with advancement awards (Tiger Cubs and possibly others) and proceed shortly thereafter to outdoor games. The games will feature Gaga ball, bag toss, and any lawn games that families would like to bring to the party. Uniform shirts not required, unless you would like your scout to be wearing them for photos after the awards (bring another shirt for the games). Bring water or other suitable drinks to stay hydrated.
July 8 (Sat.) - Pop can collection fundraiser, 9-11am, St. Eds, Scout garage
July 9 - Pack meeting, 5:00-9:00 PM. The July pack meeting is a pool party at Splash Pool, 3321 Ansborough Ave, Waterloo. Splash has many grilles, charcoal, fluid, and grille tools. Ice is available for a dollar or two. Everyone to bring their own food and beverages. Glass is not allowed at Splash - this includes jars, bottles, crock pot lids, casserole dishes, coffee mugs, platters, etc. There are NO concessions but there is a pop machine. There is a freezer if you want to bring frozen treats. There's a large grass area for lawn games, so feel free to bring volleyball or badminton equipment, croquet, corn hole, ball for kickball, soccer ball, etc. There are men's and women's shower facilities. The festivities begin at 5:00, feel free to stop in at 5:00 or later, a time that works for your family.

Our July Summertime pack activity is Scout Campout and Movie Night with
the Waterloo Bucks on Saturday July 22 at Riverside Stadium in Waterloo (see
attached pdf for information). Gates open at 5:35 PM, with the first pitch at
6:35 PM. Two options are available, overnight campout for $12 per person, or
regular reserved seat tickets for $6 each. Overnight campers will have the
following: Reserved Seat Ticket to the game, Meal Voucher good for a hot dog,
bag of chips, and Capri Sun,Campout and watch the MINIONS movie on the field
after the game, and breakfast provided in the morning.
All scouts and families, whether camping or game only, will get to watch
the FIREWORKS WITH THE PLAYERS on the field after the game!

15, to order tickets (camping for $12 or game only for $6). Your reply should
include the number of camping tickets and regular tickets desired. Payment will
be made from
scout accounts

October 15 - Cub Scout leader training, 4-6 PM, First Christian Church, 1302 West 11th Street, Cedar Falls. This training consists of two portions. The first hour will be Cubmaster/Assistant Cubmaster Specific Training, Den Leader Specific Training, and Pack Committee Challenge (Committee Chair and Committee Member Training). The second hour will be Tips & Tricks for Meetings, Online Refresher (logging advancement and service hours), and Youth Protection Training. Adults must have been registered by Oct 12 to attend.
October 15 - Service opportunity to help with spaghetti dinner at St. Eds put on by Up With Families. Scout volunteers are needed to help clean tables and do dishes, similar to what we do for Scout Sunday with the donuts after church. This will take place from 5-7, and we will have our Cub Scout Halloween Party directly afterwards at the School or Scout Shed, depending on the weather. Please have your scout in uniform if they will attend this. Cost for the dinner is $7 per person if you wish to bring your families. roasters. Also need some volunteers to bring paper plates and napkins, as well

July 7 - Pack pool party, 5:00-9:00 PM. Instead of the July pack meeting, the pack is having a pool party at Splash Pool, 3321 Ansborough Ave, Waterloo. Splash has many grilles, charcoal, fluid, and grille tools. Ice is available for a dollar or two. Everyone to bring their own food and beverages. Glass is not allowed at Splash - this includes jars, bottles, crock pot lids, casserole dishes, coffee mugs, platters, etc. There are NO concessions but there is a pop machine. There is a freezer if you want to bring frozen treats. There's a large grass area for lawn games, so feel free to bring volleyball or badminton equipment, croquet, corn hole, ball for kickball, soccer ball, etc. There are men's and women's shower facilities. The festivities begin at 5:00, feel free to stop in at 5:00 or later, a time that works for your family.

May 23 (Thurs) - Pack Activity: Waterloo Fire Rescue EMS will have an open house May 23, 4:30-6:30 pm at Station One, 425 East 3rd Street. Tour fire headquarters and browse the fire trucks, ambulance, and other emergency vehicles on display. Interact with fire rescue personnel and learn about several life-saving interventions, skills, and equipment used daily by paramedics and EMTs through demonstrations, hands-on interaction, and question/answer sessions. Enjoy free lemonade, hotdogs, and cookies. Scouts and families please arrive at 6:00 pm with Class A (scout uniform shirt) or Class B (pack t-shirt) uniforms.

April 19 - Service Opportunity - Start the Fire - Easter Vigil Mass at St. Ed's. This is optional, but it is a compliment to our Pack and Troop to have a good scout representation. Here is what we do: Arrive by 7:15 p.m. in full Class A uniform. Assist with building, lighting, and having the fire going by 7:30 p.m. Attend the lighting of the Easter candle and the opening of the vigil Mass at 8:00 p.m. Extinguish the fire and clean up the area. Either Remain and Attend the remainder of the Vigil Mass (inside the church) or Depart around 8:30. While it is a lengthy Mass, I encourage you to consider attending, as it is the high point of the Easter Triduum!
